Settling into married life has been just great. Jon goes to work in the morning and I work around the house, and in the afternoons I teach private lessons. On the weekends and sometimes during the week I play in the Roanoke Symphony. We just had our season opener this past weekend which was fabulous. Next week I will be in Roanoke almost all week, doing Il Trovatore. My students have to get all shuffled around to do make up lessons, but that’s what happens if you want a professional teaching your children instead of some dude with a violin.

Oh, and say hello to our latest addition! This is Emma, and she’s our official “wedding cat.” We adopted her about a week before the ceremony! Hello Emma!

We just wanted to thank everyone for the best wedding we could have ever hoped for. Jon and I are so happy and settling in to our new lives as married couples. The honeymoon was fantastic, the wedding was fabulous…it was really all just perfect.

If you look, the outer cover of the invitation has been embedded with seeds, so you can plant the outer cover when you are done using it. It will either grow cosmos or marigolds. Either way, you win!
Jon and I have been hard at work tasting all the wedding cakes out there to bring you the very best on our wedding day. It has been HARD WORK!

Actually we haven’t tasted Maxie B’s yet, but we will have soon. They’ve all been very tasty. It’s going to be tough to decide. Regardless, you can count on a cake that is inspired by this photo:

We had such a wonderful time at our shower in Mentor! It was lovely and beautiful and we really enjoyed ourselves!

Last Friday we had our engagement session with our wonderful photographer Abigail Seymour. We had a lot of fun and the pictures turned out wonderfully! We will post some on here as soon as, and if we can.
